The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present. Ranell Drake, Chairman, presided. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Wissler to approve the agenda as posted.
Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Fischer to approve a change in providers for the County's employee life insurance from Lincoln Financial to The Standard. Ayes all, motion carried.
At 10:15 AM, the Chairman opened the public hearing to consider the proposed budget for fiscal year 2025/26. There was no one from the general public in attendance. The County Auditor pointed out some changes in the tax asking and the levies as well as changes in revenues and expenditures.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Wissler to close the public hearing. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Wissler to adopt Resolution 25-0422A, approving the recommendation of a 2.5% increase by the Sac County Compensation Board for salaries for the elected officials except for the supervisors which was reduced to a 2% increase. Ayes Wissler, Fischer and Drake; nays none, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Fischer to adopt Resolution 25-0422B approving and adopting the proposed county budget as published in the official county newspapers on April 8, 2025. Ayes Wissler, Fischer and Drake; nays none, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Fischer to approve the claims as listed on the claims register in the Auditor's office. Ayes all, motion carried.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.
Blake Mohr with Colburn Insurance updated the Board on the County's policy and expected renewal rates for 25/26. No action was taken.
With there being no further action, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
