The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Ranell Drake, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Wissler to approve the agenda as posted. Ayes all, motion carried.
Taylor Egesdal, representing Sac County Public Health, updated the Board on the Sac County Healthcare Coalition. The Coalition, which is made up of Sac County EMS, Loring Hospital and Sac County Public Health, was established to enhance the health care systems during emergency situations.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Fischer to approve application for approval of construction across drainage districts submitted by Olsson Construction on behalf of MidAmerican Energy. The districts included on the application are DD's 1,12,15, 25, 31, 39, 40, 45, 48, 61, 68, 73, 88, 90 and 181. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Wissler to approve the claims as listed on the claims register in the Auditor's office. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Fischer to approve the drainage claims as submitted. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Wissler to approve the Collective Bargaining Agreement between Sac County and the Sac County Professional Paramedic Association Local 3669 for fiscal year2025/26, which includes a 2.5% pay increase and adjustments to on-call pay. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded Wissler to call for a public hearing in March 18, 2025, at 10:45 AM, to consider an EMS essential service levy ordinance. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Fischer to direct the County Attorney to form a committee to consider distribution of opioid money. Ayes all, motion carried.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects, including bid lettings on a box culvert on County Road M55 and the Sauk Rail paving project. There was some discussion on a timber bridge over the CN Railroad.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
