The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Ranell Drake, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Wissler to approve the agenda as posted. Ayes all, motion carried.
Representatives from the libraries in Sac County presented the annual report for fiscal year 23/214 and submitted a request for funding for the 25/26 budget, including a 5% increase. No action was taken.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Wissler to adopt Resolution 25-0114 endorsing a County Road D-36 resurfacing application from North 17th Street in Sac City west to Iowa Highway
471. Ayes Wissler, Fischer, Drake; nays none, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Fischer to approve the salary for Mike Friedman as Secondary Road Maintenance Superintendent at $82,800 beginning January 1, 2025. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was noted that the mileage rate reimbursement for county employees is adjusted to $0.63 per mile which is 90% of the Federal rate rounded to the nearest penny.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Fischer to approve the claims listed on the claims register in the Auditor's office. Ayes all, motion carried.
Representatives from the Sac County Fair Board presented the review of the 2024 Sac County Fair and plans for the 2025 fair. The Board requested funding in the amount of $38,500, which has been the same amount for the past several years. No action was taken.
There was some brief discussion on the renewal of the County's group health insurance. No action was taken.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Fischer to adopt Resolution 25-0114A approving the use by the City of Wall Lake of future incremental property tax revenues in a Wall Lake Housing Urban Renewal Area for a total period of up to sixteen fiscal years. This resolution authorizes the extension of the urban renewal area for five years. Ayes Wissler, Fischer, Drake; nays none, motion carried.
