The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Mike
Fischer, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Drake to approve the agenda as posted. Ayes all,
motion carried.
Rick Hunsaker with Region XII Council of Governments was present to discuss the renewal
of the Hazard Mitigation which expires in 2025. The Board will consider the renewal at the August 6
meeting.
Ben Ringgenberg presented the Medical Examiner Report and discussed budget items and
medical examiners for Sac County. On the recommendation of Dr. Pek, Sac County Chief medical
examiner, it was moved by Drake and seconded by Wissler to appoint Sheriff Ken McClure as
medical examiner for Sac County and approve sending Katie Stange, Chief Deputy, to the
Medicolegal Death Investigator training in St. Louis. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wissler to apply a 237% levy of the original
assessment to DD 6 to generate $6,237.91. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Drake to apply a 106% levy of the original
assessment to DD 25 to generate $7,901 /24. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wissler to apply a 186% levy of the original
assessment to DD 55 to generate $24,080.69. ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Drake to apply a 48% levy of the original
assessment to DD 60 to generate $28,356.3 Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wissler to apply a 161 % levy of the original
assessment to DD 62 to generate $11,410.71. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Drake to apply a 15% levy of the original
assessment to DD 83 to generate $5,004.85. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wissler to apply a 169% levy of the original
assessment to DD 89 to generate $12,154.46. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Drake to apply a 21 % levy of the original
assessment to DD 92 to generate $4,011.60. Ayes all, motion carried.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the
status of current maintenance and construction projects.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wissler to purchase 1,725.5 stream bank
mitigation credits from Mccorkle Stream Mitigation Bank for Project BROS - CO81 (78)-5F 81, a
bridge replacement project on Xavier Avenue between 335th Street and 345th Street for $34,510.00.
Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wissler to adopt Resolution 24-0723, establishing
a County Compensation Board for Sac County. Ayes Drake, Wissler, Fischer; nays none, motion
carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Drake to approve the claims as listed on the
claims register in the Auditor's office. Ayes all, motion carried.
