The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Ranell Drake, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Wissler to amend the agenda to consider changing board meeting dates during election. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Fischer to approve the agenda as amended. Ayes all, motion carried.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Fischer to schedule the start time for the November 4, 2025, Board meeting at 10:30 to accommodate the absentee Board at 9:00. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Wissler to reschedule the weekly Board meeting from November 11th to Wednesday, November 12th due to Veteran's Day closing. Ayes all, motion carried.
The Board discussed pros and cons of eliminating the county compensation board.
The Auditor was directed to place action on the compensation board on the agenda for October 21, 2025. Ayes all, motion carried.
At 10:15 am, the Chairman opened the public hearing for the third and final reading of a proposed ordinance establishing requirements for utility-scale solar energy systems in Sac County. There was no one present to support or oppose the proposed ordinance.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Fischer to close the public hearing at 10:40 am. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Fischer to approve the ordinance for adoption and directed the County Attorney to prepare a Resolution to that effect. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Fischer to approve the claims as listed on the claims register in the Auditor's office. Ayes all, motion carried.
