All the qualified Electors of City of Odebolt and the Odebolt Arthur Battle Creek Ida Grove School District in Sac County, Iowa are hereby notified that a Special Election will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2022.
POLLS WILL OPEN AT 7:00 A.M. AND WILL CLOSE AT 8:00 P.M.

School District located in Cook, Richland, Clinton, Levey 116 2nd Street
and Wheeler Townships, Sac County, Iowa Odebolt, IA 51458
Pre-registered voters are required to provide an approved form of identification at the polling place before receiving and casting a regular ballot. Voters who are not pre-registered, such as voters registering to vote on Election Day and voters changing precincts, must also provide proof of residence. A voter who is unable to provide an approved form of identification (or prove residence, if required) may have voter’s identity/residence attested to by another registered voter in the precinct, prove identity and residence using Election Day Registration documents, or cast a provisional ballot and provide proof of identity/residence at the Sac County Auditor’s office by Monday, September 19, 2022 at 12:00pm. Election Day Registrant attesters must provide an approved form of identification. Voter pre-registration deadline is 5:00pm on Monday, August 29, 2022, at the Sac County Auditor’s office.
ABSENTEE VOTING IN THE AUDITOR’S OFFICE: Absentee ballots will be available at the Sac County Auditor’s Office during regular business hours of 8:00am – 4:30pm, beginning on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 and may be voted in the office until 4:30pm on Monday, September 12, 2022.
ABSENTEE VOTING BY MAIL: A ballot may be mailed to you upon your request. Requests can be made in writing (must include your name, ID number, address, date of birth, name or date of the election, signature and date) or on an official Absentee Ballot Request Form. Official forms may be obtained by contacting the Auditor’s office at 712-662-7310 or are available on our website at www.saccountyiowa.gov. Absentee ballot requests must be received in the Auditor’s office no later than 5:00pm on Monday, August 29, 2022.
Absentee ballots must be returned to the Auditor’s office no later than 8:00pm on Tuesday, September 13, 2022. Postmark dates do NOT count. Voters may check the status of their absentee ballot by contacting the Sac County Auditor’s Office or at www.sos.iowa.gov/elections/absenteeballotstaus/search.

The public test of Sac County’s voter equipment to be used in the Primary Election will commence at 9:00 a.m. on September 8, 2022, in the Sac County Law Enforcement Center and will continue until completed. Shall the City of Odebolt, in Sac County, State of Iowa, enter into a loan agreement and issue general obligation bonds in an amount not exceeding $650,000 for the purpose of paying the cost, to that extent, of renovating, furnishing and equipping an existing building for use as City Hall?

Shall the Board of Directors of the Odebolt Arthur Battle Creek Ida Grove Community School District, in the Counties of Crawford, Ida, Sac and Woodbury, State of Iowa, for the purpose of purchasing and improving grounds; constructing schoolhouses or buildings and opening roads to schoolhouses or buildings; purchasing of buildings; purchase, lease or lease-purchase of technology and equipment; paying debts contracted for the erection or construction of schoolhouses or buildings, not including interest on bonds; procuring or acquisition of libraries; repairing, remodeling, reconstruction, improving, or expanding the schoolhouses or buildings and additions to existing schoolhouses; expenditures for energy conservation; renting facilities under Iowa Code Chapter 28E; purchasing transportation equipment for transporting students; lease purchase option agreements for school buildings or equipment; purchasing equipment authorized by law; or for any purpose or purposes now or hereafter authorized by law, be authorized for a period of ten (10) years to levy and impose a voter-approved physical plant and equipment tax of not exceeding One Dollar Thirty-Four Cents ($1.34) per One Thousand Dollars ($1,000) of assessed valuation of the taxable property within the school district commencing with the levy for collection in the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024, or each year thereafter?
