The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Mike
Fischer, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the Special meeting and the regular meeting on April
2, 2024, were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wissler to amend the agenda to consider a quote
on remodeling the Board meeting room. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Drake to approve the agenda as amended. Ayes
all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Drake to appoint Kathy Drake to the Sac County
Public Health Board to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Pat Laursen. Ayes all, motion
carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wissler to approve application for renewal of liquor
license submitted by Cielito Lindo Mexican Restaurant in rural Lake View. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Drake to approve the Recorder's quarterly report
for the quarter ending March 31, 2024. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wissler to approve a proposed tile repair in Joint
Drainage District 2 Sac and 51 Calhoun located in Section 23, Cedar Township, Sac County in the
amount of $5,500.00. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Drake to approve application for fiscal year '25
Substance Abuse Prevention and name Renee Roland as Board signatory. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wissler to approve renewal of the County
Substance Abuse subcontract with New Opportunities for 24/25. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Drake to approve the claims as listed on the
claims register in the Auditor's office. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Drake to approve a quote from Rassel
Construction of Wall Lake to remodel the Board room for $7,500 and to approve a quote from
Keith's interiors for $2,941.80 for carpet tiles in the Board room and the Auditor's office. Ayes all,
motion carried.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the
status of current maintenance and construction projects.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wissler to approve the Iowa D.O.T. secondary roads
budget and secondary roads five-year construction program as presented by the County Engineer.
Ayes all, motion carried.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
