Sac County Environmental Health Specialist/Zoning Administrator
 
Sac County Public Health is accepting applications for an Environmental Health Specialist and Zoning Administrator. This is a part-time position with the possibility of full-time depending on the candidate.
 
The Environmental Health Specialist will involve working in the environmental programs including septic inspections, swimming pool inspections, tattoo, and tanning bed inspections, issuing well permits, nuisances, picking up water samples, indoor air quality, and other environmental and public health issues. Must be able to develop and assist with the Board of Health rules and regulations.
 
The Zoning Administrator assist citizens with acquiring proper building permit applications, reviews applications, investigates violations, initiates proceedings, when necessary, maintains zoning records and minutes, and other possible issues when required by the zoning ordinance.
 
Must be courteous, professional, and proficient on the computer for recordkeeping, data, and emails. Must have a valid drivers license and insurable under county liability coverage.
 
Prefer a graduate from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in natural science OR an equivalent combination of experience and education.
