The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Jim Wissler, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Drake to approve the agenda as posted. Ayes all, motion carried.
There was lengthy discussion about how long the courthouse and annex should be closed to the public. A motion and second to open the buildings beginning May 4th was withdrawn and it was moved by Drake and seconded by Wilhelm to keep the courthouse and annex closed to the public through May 5th, at which time the Board will consider the situation. Ayes all, motion carried.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wilhelm to approve a consulting engineering contract with Calhoun-Burns Engineering for Project BROS-SWAP-CO81(77)—FE-81 located in Section 11, Coon Valley Township. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Drake to approve a consulting engineering contract with Calhoun-Burns Engineering for Project BROS-SWAP-CO81(78)—FE81 located in Section 35, Coon Valley Township. Ayes all, motion carried.
The Engineer updated the Board on the Richland Wind Farm project regarding moving of heavy equipment on county roads. No heavy traffic will be allowed on the hard surfaced roads except for a short distance on M43 between 280th and 300th streets. Alliant Energy has agreed to pay $46,500 for a slurry mix overlay on that portion of M43 plus additional costs for damages as a result of any moving of heavy equipment.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wilhelm to hire Phil Davis of Lake View to mow the Pioneer cemetery (Tom Marks) located in Section 21, Levey Township. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wilhelm to approve an application for a liquor license submitted by Roxanne Rowedder, DBA Cielito Lindo Mexican Restaurant, Inc. ayes all, motion carried.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
