The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Jim Wissler, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Drake to approve the agenda as posted. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wilhelm to approve the Sheriff’s quarterly report for the quarter ending March 31, 2020. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Drake to approve the Recorder’s quarter report for the quarter ending March 31, 2020. Ayes all, motion carried.
The Board discussed the Covid -19 pandemic situation and decided to continue to close the courthouse and annex to the public through Tuesday, April 14, 2020 and re-evaluate the situation then. The Board will continue to meet in the Chamber Main Street office and use ZOOM to open the meeting to the public.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wilhelm to approve an addendum to a previously approved tile repair in Jt DD 19 & 26 located in Section 5, Douglas twp adding an additional $500 to the cost of the repair. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wilhelm to approve the claims as listed on the claims register in the Auditor’s office. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Drake to call for a public hearing on a proposed amendment to the current county budget for Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at 10:30 AM. Ayes all, motion carried.
The County Auditor updated the Board on plans for the June 2, 2020, Primary election. The regular nine polling places will be condensed to four by combining certain precincts for this election.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wilhelm to accept the low bid of $134,626.70 submitted by Richards Construction for Project L-CO-2203—73-81. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Drake to accept the low bid of $44,538.00 submitted by Richards Construction for Project L-BV-3204—73-81. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Drake to call for an informational meeting with landowners in DD 68 to discuss options on repairs or improvements to the district before any formal action. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wilhelm to send a written inspection report of damages to DD 83 to the landowners in the district before any formal action is taken. Ayes all, motion carried.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
