The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Brent Wilhelm, Chairman, presiding.  The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.

Lance Wilhelm and Steve Irwin were present to update the Board on the RAGBRAI event which passed through Sac County on July 25th and 26th and thank the Board for their support of the event.  The Board was informed that reimbursements from RAGBRAI did not cover the costs of services provided by local agencies and the group was hopeful that the County could absorb some of the shortfall.  The Board tabled any decision until September 14 when a more complete accounting would be available.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Drake to abate the taxes on .13 acres of Lot 1 in Out Lot 12 in the SW of the NE quarter of Section 14, Sac Township in the amount of $4.00.  Ayes all, motion carried.
Brian Blomme, Drainage Engineer for Sac, Calhoun and Buena Vista Counties presented a proposal for Tile Zone Wetlands project which could include up to 17 different locations in Sac County.  It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wissler to authorize Mr. Blomme to contact landowners in certain drainage districts and notify them of an informal meeting to explain and discuss the possibility of the tile zone wetlands in their district.  Ayes all, motion carried.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
