The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Jim Wissler, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Drake to approve the agenda as posted. Ayes all, motion carried.
Sheriff McClure presented a proposal for updating the communication center radios with dual band capability, the Sheriff’s cars radios, hand held radios, installation/programming as well as required electrical grounding, cable routing and courthouse alarm system upgrade. The total package is projected to cost $243,198.50. the Sheriff informed the Board that Motorola Company has offered a $50,000 discount if an agreement to purchase is signed before September 15, 2020. The E911 Board has tentatively agreed to contribute to the project by way of paying for maintenance. The Board directed the Sheriff and the County Auditor to proceed with researching options for funding the project.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wilhelm to direct the Chairman to sign a letter of engagement with Hunzelman, Putzier & Company to perform the audit for fiscal year 2019/220. Ayes all, motion carried.
Chairman Wissler updated the Board on a meeting he attended regarding the North Raccoon River Watershed Management coalition.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wilhelm to approve the claims as listed on the claims register in the Auditor’s office. Ayes all, motion carried.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Drake to accept the low bid of $108,568.50 submitted by Peterson Construction Contractors for Project 81-CO81-074, RCB culvert south of Highway 20 on Gard Ave. ayes all, motion carried.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
