The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Ranell Drake, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to approve the agenda as posted. Ayes all, motion carried.
Steve Dahm addressed the Board during citizen input to advise the Board that he had not heard back from County Attorney Ben Smith regarding the aviation lights on the wind turbines.
No action was taken on the employee handbook pending further review of some late changes.
Lance Wilhelm, representing the Sac City Museum, updated the Board on activities of the museum and informed the Board of a plan to build an additional building on the property. He was requesting funding for the project. It was moved b y Wissler and seconded by Wilhelm to contribute $5,000 to the project from the Special Projects fund. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to table an action on a proposed ordinance regarding tax sale certificates. Ayes all, motion carried.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to approve the final plans for project BROS – CO81 (83) –8J-81, a reinforced concrete box culvert on 270th Street east of County Road D37 and Highway 471. Ayes all, motion carried.
There was some discussion on a proposal for repairs to headstones in the Tom Marx cemetery in Section 21, Levey Township. The Board decided to wait on the project until next year when it could be budgeted for.
It was moved b y Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to accept and approve the annual report of the County Substance Abuse and Prevention program. Ayes all, motion carried.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
