The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Jim
Wissler, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to approve the agenda as posted. Ayes all,
motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to approve the claims as listed on the claims
register in the Auditor's office. Ayes all, motion carried.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of
current maintenance and construction projects.
The Engineer presented the plans and notice to bidders for Project L-CO- 1803- - 73 - 81, a twin
box culvert.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to approve the purchase of a cold planer
attachment for a skid loader at a cost of $10,000 with new teeth. Ayes all, motion carried. Calhoun
County has agreed to pay for half of the attachment, so that both counties could use it.
Several representatives from the Sac County Trails committee presented and update on a
proposed trail in Sac City extending west on County Road D36 and South on Perkins Ave, County Road
M68. The committee will apply for a grant through the Federal D.O.T. recreational trails program which
will pick up 80% of the cost and the local entities will be responsible for the remaining 20%.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to commit $7,500 from the County's Special
Projects funds for the trail project design. Ayes all, motion carried.
Stephanie Henrichs, Executive Director of the Centers Against Abuse and Sexual Assault met via
Zoom with the Board and presented a review of 2023. A request of $6500 for fiscal year ending June 30,
2025 was submitted along with the annual report. No action was taken.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
