The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Rick Hecht, chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Stock and seconded by Drake to approve the agenda as posted. Ayes all, motion carried.
As required by law, the Board took up the canvass of the special election held February 6, 2018, and offer the following; on the question of “Shall the Board of Directors of Iowa Central Community College be authorized to contract indebtedness and issue General Obligation Bonds in the amount of $25,500,000”, there were 196 votes cast in favor and 141 votes cast opposing the question. A 60% approval is required for passing. The measure received 58.2% approval but was approved by 68.2% district wide.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
