The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Ranell Drake, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to approve the agenda as posted. Ayes all, motion carried.
There was no citizen input.
Representatives from Nestlink and Corn Belt Telephone were present to present to hear the Supervisors decision on a permit to build a tower submitted by Nextlink.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to table any decision until the meeting on February 1, 2022. Ayes all, motion carried.
Matt Wallace was present to represent the Sac City airport in a request for funding for 22/23. The request was for $10,000 and an additional $5,000 per year for three years to build a fund for matching FAA funded projects.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Wilhelm to approve funding of $6,000 for the 2223 budget and invited the airport commission to apply for special projects funding when the situation arises. Ayes all, motion carried.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to approve the 2022 Payment Policy for Right of Way Acquisition as follows: Fence removal - $9.00/ rod for barbed wire and $32/ rod for woven wire; Fence replacement - $25/ rod for barbed wire and $32/ rod for woven wire. Land purchased for right of way will be valued at 11.0 times the current values listed by the County Assessor. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to abate the taxes on the South 50’ of the North 51’ of Lot 1; the South 50’ of the North 51’ of Lot 2; the East 24’ of the North 51’ of lot 3, Block 14 Original Town of Sac City and 20’ x 50’ alley between lots 2 & 3 in the amount of $209. Ayes all, motion carried.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
