The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Jim Wissler, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to amend the agenda to consider a change order for the HVAC project and replacement of doors at the courthouse. ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to approve the agenda as amended. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to approve the Treasurer’s Semi-annual report for the period beginning July 1, 2022 and ending December 31, 2022. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to set the date for the maximum levy public hearing for Tuesday, March 14 at 10:30 and the public hearing for the 23/24 county budget on Tuesday, March 28 at 10:30. Ayes all, motion carried.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to accept the low bid of $87,981 submitted by Denco Highway Construction Company for crack sealing on 18.4 miles of County Highway D59 and 7.4 miles of County Road M54. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to approve the low bid of $76,844.24 submitted by Denco Highway Construction Company for Class A bridge deck repairs to bridges located on County Roads M27, D46, D27 and M43. Ayes all, motion carried.
Brian Blomme, Sac County Drainage Engineer and Eric Yunginger updated the Board on the drainage status in Sac County and a proposed budget for 23/24.
At 10:30, the Chairman opened the public hearing to consider an amendment to the current Sac County budget including $144,000 in revenue and $246,431 in expenditures. There was no one present to support or object to the proposal.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to close the public hearing. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to approve the amendment to the current budget. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to accept the quote from Buena Vista Glass in the amount of $37,365.00 to replace the three main doors to the courthouse and add handicap pushbuttons. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to approve a change order in the amount of $11,125 submitted by Carroll Controls for a design change in the HVAC project in the courthouse.. ayes all, motion carried.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
