The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Rick Hecht, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Stock and seconded by Drake to amend the agenda to include discussion on funding for the libraries and to consider the quarterly report of the County Recorder. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Stock to approve the agenda as amended. Ayes all, motion carried.
Jim Bullock, Sac County EMA Director, discussed a $20,000 donation from the Dakota Access Pipeline and suggested using part of the money to replace some equipment for the fire departments. The Board authorized an expenditure of $10,000 for equipment.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Stock to approve the Recorder’s quarterly report for the quarter ending December 31, 2017. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Stock and seconded by Drake to approve the Treasurer’s Semi-annual report of funds for the period beginning July 1, 2017 and ending December 31, 2017. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Stock to approve the Sac County Condemnation Compensation Commission for 2018. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Stock to appoint Mary Schroeder of Odebolt to the County Board of Adjustment. Ayes all, motion carried.
The Sac County Library Association presented their annual report for 2017/18 and requested a 4% increase for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2019. No action was taken.
Jane Barto, president of the Sac County Historical Society updated the Board on activities of that group and informed the Board that they would be asking for the same amount of funding as 2017/18 which is $4,270. No action was taken.
It was moved by Stock and seconded by Drake to approve three open ditch repairs in Joint DD 274, Sac and Buena Vista Counties, all located in Section 5, Delaware Township for a cost of $2800.00. Ayes all, motion carried.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
