The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Ranell Drake, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to approve the agenda as posted. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to re-appoint Wally Worth of Sac City to the Sac County Veteran’s Affairs Commission for a three year term. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Wilhelm to approve the transfer of $33,002.30 from General Basic fund to Secondary Road fund for interest earned on Highway 20 transfer of jurisdiction money for fiscal year 2018/19. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to approve a 6% assessment levy on Joint DD 274 Main to generate $6,252.00 to cover outstanding warrants and maintain a $500.00 sinking fund contingent on the approval of same from Buena Vista County. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Wilhelm to approve a proposed tile repair in Joint DD 59 Calhoun and 7 Sac located in Section 6, Garfield Township in the amount of $1,600.00 Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to approve a proposed tile replacement in DD 69, located in Section 30, Douglas Township in the amount of $1,000.00. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to table action on an application submitted by Aliant Energy for underground construction in DD 75, Section 25, Richland Township until the next regular board meeting on July 23. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to approve the claims as listed on the claims register in the Auditor’s office. Ayes all, motion carried.
At 10:15, the Chairman opened the public hearing on a proposed commercial urban revitalization ordinance. There were no written objections and no one was present to oppose the ordinance.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to close the public hearing. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Wilhelm to adopt the ordinance for a commercial urban revitalization plan effective upon publication. Ayes; Drake, Wilhelm and Wissler, nayes none, motion carried.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.
There was a brief discussion on easements for the wind turbine project.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
