The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Jim Wissler, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to amend the agenda to include a visit to the South Annex to review the remodeling project for the public health nurse’s offices. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to approve the agenda as amended. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to approve the following requests for funding through the American Rescue Plan allocation: $1,268.00 for an air purifier for the County Attorney’s office, $13,205.00 for the purchase of keyless door locks for the courthouse exterior doors, $37,365.00 for main courthouse door replacements and push-button door openers to be ADA compliant and $82,000.00 for a stationary emergency stand-alone generator for the overhead doors to maintenance shed and emergency power to fuel island to supply fuel for secondary roads vehicles, Sheriff’s vehicles and Ambulances in times of power outages. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was decided that any further ARP funding requests should go directly to the Board because there is a small balance remaining. The Board thanked the ARP committee for the work on all of the projects.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to approve the Recorder’s quarterly report for the quarter ending June 30, 2023. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to approve the claims as listed on the claims register in the Auditor’s office. Ayes all, motion carried.
The County Engineer updated the Board on the activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to approve construction plans for bridge abutment repairs in projects L-RI-2701—73-81, Richland 27 and L-BV-2830—73-81, Boyer Valley 28.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to approve a new position of assistant maintenance supervisor in Secondary roads. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to adopt Resolution 232-0718 accepting the low bid of $537,944.98 submitted by Midwest Contractors, Inc for PCC concrete patching and authorizing Nick Buse, County Engineer, to sign all documents pertaining to the project. Ayes Drake, Fischer and Wissler; nays none, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to approve the drainage claims as submitted. Ayes all, motion carried.
The Board recessed to go to the South Annex to review the remodeling project in the Public Health office.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
