The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Brent Wilhelm, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wissler to approve the agenda as posted. Ayes all, motion carried.
Dale Wegner spoke to the Board requesting that the Supervisors reconsider a later opening time for the courthouse on Monday, July 26, 2021, due to RAGBRAI traffic in the downtown area. The Board thanked Mr. Wegner for his input, but will maintain regular business hours on July 26.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Drake to approve a liquor license for Bus Events LLC, pending receipt of Proof of Insurance naming Sac County as additional insured, as required by the ordinance. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wissler to approve the Dissemination Agent Agreement between Sac County and D.A. Davidson & Co. in regard to Securities Issues Subject to Continuing Disclosure for $4,245,000 General Obligation Emergency Services Communication Equipment Bonds, Series 2021. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Drake to approve claims as presented. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wissler to approve the drainage claims as presented. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Drake to approve a drainage claim to Buena Vista County Auditor for engineering services in the amount of $1,300.00 for JT DD 59-7. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wissler to approve a Drainage District Utility Permit for Corn Belt Telephone Company (Permit #S-13U-2021), crossing the following district facilities: DD 6, DD 15 Main, DD 15 Br B, DD 15 Br C, DD 25 Br 2, DD 25 Br 3, DD 25 Br 5, DD 30, DD 31, DD 31 Br A, DD 31 Br G, DD 36, DD 40, DD 40 Lat 9, DD 40 Lat 10, DD 45 Br C, DD 45 Br D, DD 48, DD 71, and DD 73. Ayes all, motion carried.
Rick Hunziker with Region XII Council of Governments appeared before the Board with a review of current programs and a request for funding for the Revolving Loan Fund program and for the Housing Trust Fund. There was no action taken at this time.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wissler to approve plans for Secondary Roads Project No. BROS-SWAP-CO81(79)—SE-81, for a proposed 24’ x 8’ box culvert located on Ira Avenue between 280th Street and 290th Street. Ayes all, motion carried.
Jane Barto appeared to update the Board that the last parcel of property to make up the Grant Park Trail has been deeded to Sac County. She also reviewed grant options for projects with Grant Park.
Tina Roth, Sac County Treasurer, updated the Board in regard to staffing in the office. The following are current employees of the Sac County Treasurer: Motor Vehicles Department – Mel Babe, Deputy; Jaxon Dunn, Motor Vehicles/Driver’s License Clerk; Carisa Boeckman, Motor Vehicles/Driver’s License Clerk, Amber Lucht, part time Driver’s License Clerk; and Treasurer’s Office – Amanda Drost, Clerk and Megan Crabb, Clerk.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
