The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Ranell Drake, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to amend the agenda to continue discussion on the Pioneer cemetery in Section 21, Levey Township. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to approve the agenda as amended. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Wilhelm to approve a proposed tile investigation in Joint DD 88 & 280 located in Section 24, Sac Township, Sac County in the amount of $1,200.00. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Wilhelm to approve a proposed tile repair in Joint DD 69 & 10 located in Section 19, Williams Township, Calhoun County in the amount of $500.00. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Wilhelm to approve a proposed tile repair in DD 82 located in Section 16, Sac Township in the amount of $500.00. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Wilhelm to approve a proposed tile repair in DD71-Br 2 located in Section 33, Delaware Township in the amount of $300.00. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Wilhelm to approve a proposed tile repair in DD 77, Main A located in Section 32, Jackson Township in the amount of $600.00. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Wilhelm to approve a proposed tile replacement in DD 65 located in Section 28 Douglas Township in the amount of $19,000.00. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to hire Doug Bartels to mow the grass in the pioneer cemetery located in Section 21, Levey Township, dispose of the perimeter fence, re-establish the posts and top rail surrounding the cemetery and remove all grass clippings for a quote of $907.00. The small ornate fence around a certain grave stone will remain in place. Ayes all, motion carried. Supervisors Drake and Wissler will contact someone in the area to continue mowing and maintaining the cemetery.
Representatives from the Black Hawk Lake Protection Association were present to discuss the lake dredging project. The Department of Natural Resources is asking for local support in securing a spoil site for the dredging of Black Hawk Lake, roughly 100 acres.
A motion by Wissler to contribute $15,000 to the purchase of a spoil site died for lack of a second.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Wilhelm to contribute $12,500 to the purchase of the spoil site. Ayes all, motion carried.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
