The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Jim Wisler, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to amend the agenda to discuss a nuisance property ordinance. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to approve the agenda as amended. Ayes all, motion carried.
Kyle Norris, Sac County I.T. Director, presented a proposal to the Board for installation of an electronic access control and lockdown system for the Courthouse entrances with an estimated cost of approximately $12,205. No action was taken.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to approve and adopt the Sac County Investment policy. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to approve the drainage claims as submitted. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to approve proposed tile outlet repairs in Joint Drainage District 181, located in Section 31 Williams Township, Calhoun County, in the amount of $1,700.00. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to approve the claims as listed on the claims register in the Auditor’s office. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to approve an amendment to the Sac County Ambulance Union contract to reflect a change in in the driver’s on-call pay from $3.05/hr to $3.25/hr. ayes all, motion carried.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.
There was some discussion and questions regarding a policy or ordinance regarding nuisance property and the Engineer was asked to obtain a copy of the policy from Calhoun County.
The Board and the Auditor discussed the possibility of establishing a Human Resources department for Sac County because of privacy concerns and additional payroll and insurance requirements. It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to establish an H.R. department and name Jalonna Ehler, Deputy Auditor as H.R. Director. Ayes all, motion carried.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
