The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Ranell Drake, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to approve the agenda as posted. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to approve the transfers of $387,520.00 from Rural Basic fund to Secondary Road fund and $35,131.75 from General Basic fund to Secondary Road fund. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Wilhelm to approve application for renewal of liquor permit submitted by Prairie Pedlar Celebrations LLC. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Wilhelm to approve a proposed tile investigation in DD 55 located in Section 21, Viola Township in the amount of $800.00. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to move the regular board meeting scheduled for June 21, 2022, to June 22, 2022, due to a scheduling conflict. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Wilhelm to approve the claims as listed on the claims register in the Auditor’s office. Ayes all, motion carried.
Four bids were received for the removal of existing antenna, mounts and transmission lines at three tower sites located in Sac City, Lake View and Storm Lake to provide space on the towers for new communications equipment. It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Wilhelm to accept the low bid of $13,435.60 and a standard hourly rate of $105/worker/hour submitted by High Maintenance & Mods, Inc of Bennington, Nebraska. Ayes all, motion carried.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to accept and approve the plans for 2022 PCC Patching. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to approve application for a building permit located within Sac City’s Urban Transition Zone submitted by Van Wall Equipment. Ayes all, motion carried.
The Board of Supervisors met with representatives of SETD, Raccoon Valley REC, City of Sac City. It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to go into closed session pursuant to Iowa Code Section 21.5(1)(j), to discuss the purchase of sale of real estate only where premature disclosure could be reasonably expected to increase the price the governmental body would have to pay or reduce the price the governmental body would receive for that property. Ayes Drake, Wilhelm and Wissler; nays none, motion carried. Time; 10:30 am.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to go out of closed session at 11:40 am. Ayes all, motion carried
The Board agreed to continue discussion with SETD on the possible sale or purchase of property or real estate. No action was taken.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
