The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Rick Hecht, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Stock and seconded by Drake to amend the agenda to consider finalization of the Des Moines Water Works litigation fund. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Stock to approve the agenda as amended. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Stock to call for a public hearing on an amendment to the 2017/18 budget for Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at 10:30 am. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Stock and seconded by Drake to direct the County Auditor to contact Region XII Council of Governments to discuss recodification of the County’s Code of Ordinances. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Stock to close the Des Moines Water Works Litigation fund by moving the balance of $12,214.52 from that litigation fund to the General Basic fund. Ayes all, motion carried.
Several Sac County residents presented packets to each Supervisor containing information about wind turbines. There was some discussion on setbacks and other zoning requirements for Sac County’s ordinance. The Board will offer recommendations to the Planning and Zoning Board on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at 10:30 am.
Sherrie Wilson, Sac County Planning and Zoning Officer and Brandy Ripley, Sac County SETD Director, discussed policy for bill boards on state and local highways in Sac County.
It was moved by Stock and seconded by Drake to direct the P&Z officer to contact Region XII Council of Governments to develop an ordinance regulating bill boards along public highways in Sac County. Ayes all, motion carried.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
