The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Jim Wissler, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Drake to approve the agenda as posted. Ayes all, motion carried.
The Board discussed the Covid 19 pandemic situation and whether or not to open the courthouse and annex to the public. It was noted that the Court system would not be open until June 1 and the DOT licensing station would be open on June 1 by appointment only. The Auditor suggested that the courthouse remain closed until after the June 2nd Primary election to avoid a lot of traffic at one time.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wilhelm to keep the courthouse and the annex closed through May 19, 2020 and ask the department heads to meet and form some sort of plan for opening when the time arrived. Ayes all, motion carried.
Cole Budach, drainage engineer for ISG, presented a report on the condition of DD 68 a proposal for repairs or improvements. It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Drake to accept the Engineer’s report on DD 68 and call for an informational meeting with the landowners within the district for Tuesday, June16, 2020, at 1:00 pm. Ayes all, motion carried. The location of the meeting will be determined at a later date.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wilhelm to approve application for approval of construction of underground fiber in DD 67 near Jackson Ave. and 190th Street. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Drake to approve application for approval of construction of underground fiber in DD 68 near Jackson Ave. and 200th Street. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Drake to approve the appointment of Richard Clinesmith as a Wall Lake Township trustee to fill a vacancy on that board. Ayes all, motion carried.
The Board of Supervisors, Jessica List, Administrator of Black Hawk Life Care and Jim Bullock, Sac County EMA Director discussed some issues with the distribution of personal protection equipment as it is distributed by Homeland Security.
There was no report from the County Engineer.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
