The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Ranell Drake, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Wilhelm to amend the agenda to consider residency requirements for sheriff’s deputies. Ayes all, motion carried.
Sheriff McClure presented two maps showing different radii from the center of Sac County for consideration of residency requirements for sheriff’s deputies. After some discussion, it was moved by Wissler and seconded by Wilhelm to establish a residency requirement of no more that 15 miles beyond the Sac County line in any direction. Ayes all, motion carried. It was also a part of the motion that county vehicles would stay within the county and stationed at the nearest county facility.
Sac City City Administrator Jamie Lawrence presented a revised resolution for establishing a tax increment financing district in Sac City. It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Wilhelm to approve Resolution 22-0517 approving the use of tax increment financing pursuant to Iowa Code Chapter 403.22Ayes Wilhelm, Wissler and Drake; nays none, motion carried.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Wilhelm to accept the low bid of $353,631.30 submitted by Nelson & Rock Contracting for project L-WL-3604—73-81, a bridge on Rolland Ave. south of highway 175. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to approve application for a liquor permit submitted by Back Pocket Brewing LLC for a special event during RAGBRAI provided Sac County is named as additional insured. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to approve a one year extension of a contract with Region XII Council of Governments for Local Planning and Administrative Assistance to be completed by June 30, 2023. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to approve the claims on the claims register in the Auditor’s office. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Wilhelm to approve a proposed tile repair in DD 43 located in Section 17, Delaware Township in the amount of $1,000. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Wilhelm to approve a proposed tile repair in DD 68 located in Section 22, Eden Township in the amount of $800. Ayes all, motion carried.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
