The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Jim Wissler, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Drake to approve the agenda as posted. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wilhelm to approve the claims as listed on the claims register in the Auditor’s office. Ayes all, motion carried.
The Board discussed the current status of the COVID 19 pandemic. The Clerk of Court notified the Board of memo from the Chief Judge of the 2nd Judicial District that the Clerk’s office will be closed to the public until June 1st.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wilhelm to close the Sac County Courthouse to the public through May 12, 2020 and review the situation at that time. Ayes all, motion carried.
Tonia Vickers was present to request a partial abatement on the taxes assessed to the North ½ of Lot 3 and the North ½ of the West 6’ of Lot 4, Block 20, Original Town of Sac City in the amount of $472.00. it was moved by Drake and seconded by Wilhelm to grant the request and abate the taxes on the above described property. Ayes all, motion carried.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Drake to adopt Resolution 20-0505, authorizing an E-signature on a contract with Fort Dodge Asphalt Company for $1,285,540.37 for asphalt paving on County Road M 54. Ayes Wilhelm, Drake and Wissler; nays none, motion carried.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
