The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Mike
Fischer, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Drake to consider a resolution declaring an
essential service in Sac County. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Drake to approve the agenda as amended. Ayes
all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Drake to approve an application for a building
permit for a house to be located in the NE quarter of Section 14, Jackson Township, submitted by
Richard Bellcock. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wissler to approve the claims as listed on the
claims register in the Auditor's office. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wissler to approve Change Order number One for
DD 59 and City of Early storm water project in the amount of $4,350.00. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Drake to approve Contractor's application for
partial payment number 3 on DD 59 and City of Early storm water project in the amount of
$98,158.53. Ayes all, motion carried.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the
status of current maintenance and construction projects.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Drake to approve the recommended pay
increases of 4% for the secondary road workers and a 12% increase for the office manager. Ayes
all, motion carried. The increase in wages begins July 1, 2024.
The Chairman opened the public hearing to consider a resolution declaring the Sac County
Emergency Medical Services as an essential service. There was no one present to support or object
to the proposal.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wissler to close the public hearing. Ayes all,
motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Drake to tentatively approve a resolution
declaring the Sac County Emergency Medical Services as an essential service in Sac County,
subject to the approval of the Sac County Attorney. Ayes all, motion carried. A second public
hearing will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2024.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
