The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present. Rick Hecht, Chairman, presided over the meeting. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Stock and seconded by Drake to approve the agenda as posted. Ayes all, motion carried.
There was no citizen input for this meeting.
Dawn Mentzer appeared on behalf of Rolling Hills Community Service Region and presented a Resolution recommending approval of Woodbury County’s request to join the Rolling Hills Community Service Region effective July 1, 2019. It was moved by Drake and seconded by Stock to direct the Chairman to sign said Resolution #18-0508. Hecht – Aye, Drake – Aye, Stock – Aye. Motion carried.
The County Engineer updated the board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Stock to approve the contract with Cedar Valley Corporation LLC in the amount of $2,198,714.64 for reconstruction of D15. Ayes all. Motion carried.
It was moved by Stock and seconded by Drake to approve a transfer in the amount of $3,476.55 from debt service to general basic. Ayes all. Motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Stock to set a Public Hearing for Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at 10:30am in the Board Room of the Sac County Courthouse for the purpose of hearing input for the consideration of an ordinance governing wind energy devices in Sac County. Ayes all. Motion carried.
It was brought to the attention of the Board that there is a pioneer cemetery that is not being maintained. The Board asked that the township representatives gather more information and bring it back to the Board. No action was taken.
It was moved by Stock and seconded by Drake to approve a proposed tile repair in DD 11, Branch 2 located in Section 9, Jackson Township in the amount of $3,200.00. Ayes all, motion carried.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
