The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Jim
Wissler, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to amend the agenda to consider Landfill
financial assurance. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to approve the agenda as amended. Ayes all,
motion carried.
The Board reviewed a letter from Christine Collier, P.E. with SCS Engineers, regarding the
financial assurances for the Sac County Landfill. There was a shortage of funds to cover the financial
assurances for the past fiscal year.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to apply for a waiver from the DNR for the
shortfall. Ayes all, motion carried.
Brian Blomme, Drainage Engineer for Sac County and Spencer Pech and Rachael Millage with ISG
Engineering updated the Board on the Status of DD 59. This project was a joint effort with Sac County
and the City of Early to improve the drainage by utilizing the City's storm sewer system and the facilities
of Drainage District 59. The City of Early had accepted the low bid of $504,099.00 submitted by Empire
Excavation and it was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to issue $200,000.00 in stamped
warrants to the City of Early for the project. Ayes all, motion carried.
The County Engineer submitted a written update of the activities of the county road crews and
the status of current maintenance and construction projects.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
