It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Wilhelm to approve a proposed re-route of a section of tile submitted for CREP wetland located in Section 35, Sac Township as part of DD 54. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to approve the claims as listed on the claims register in the Auditor’s office. Ayes all, motion carried.
The Board listened to a presentation from a representative of Behle, Inc, a company which deals in “in-place” sewer pipe lining. No action was taken.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to abate the taxes on a 208’ x 145’ parcel of Outlot A-2 and the vacated Cedar Street in Section 24, Cedar Township in the amount of $54.00. Ayes all, motion carried.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.
The Board of Supervisors, County Attorney and the County Engineer listened to a group of property owners and residents within the Richland wind turbine project area regarding the issue of allowing or not allowing the utility company permission to bury collection lines in the County right of way. It was the opinion of the County Attorney that since the Board had directed the county engineer to allow or disallow utilities in the right of way that that policy should stay in place and it was his interpretation of the law that Sac County’s policies were compliant. No action was taken.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
