The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Brent Wilhelm, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Drake to amend the agenda to consider a 28E agreement with the Iowa Dept of Natural Resources. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wissler to approve the agenda as amended. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wissler to table discussion on establishing the Sac County EMS as an essential service until the next regular meeting. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Drake to approve the Sheriff’s quarterly report for the quarter ending September 30, 2021. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wissler to approve the Recorder’s quarterly report for the quarter ending September 30, 2021. Ayes all, motion carried.
The Sheriff gave a brief update on the progress of the communications project to date.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Drake to direct the Chairman to sign a 28E agreement with Elderbridge Agency on Ageing for requested county funding allotments to the agency. Ayes all, motion carried.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wissler to direct the Chairman to sign a 28E agreement with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources for the purpose of establishing the terms and conditions for delegation to designated county permitting agencies of the DNR with respect to private water well construction and reconstruction. Ayes all, motion carried.
Taylor Steinkamp, Sac County IT Director reviewed a proposal from Corn Belt Telephone Company for telephone and internet service for the courthouse and the cost savings as a result.
It was moved b y Wissler and seconded by Drake to direct Mr. Steinkamp to proceed with the transfer of service from Frontier Communications to Corn Belt Telephone. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Drake to approve the claims as listed on the claims register in the Auditor’s office. Ayes all, motion carried.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
