HAGGE PARK - GRANT PARK - REIFF PARK
Hagge Park
This 86 acre park lies along the North Raccoon River approximately 2 1/2 miles south of Sac City of county highway D-42 and serves as the headquarters of the Sac County Conservation Board. Hagge Park is a mostly wooded park with a mix of oak, hickory, and ash trees and is a great place for fishing, canoeing, camping, picnicking and hiking. Hagge Park has 15 shaded campsites with water, sewer and electrical (30 amp) hookups. Each site has a fire ring and picnic table and the restroom/shower building is nearby as well. A 12’ x 16’ camping cabin is also available on a reservation basis. The cabin includes heat/air conditioning, a refrigerator, microwave and sleeps up to six people. |
There is also a covered porch, picnic table, and fire ring for outdoor activities. Camping facilities are open May 1 through October 31, weather permitting.
Hagge Park has an enclosed shelterhouse that can be reserved for graduations, family reunions and meetings, as well as for picnics. The shelterhouse has indoor restrooms, a fireplace, outdoor grills and seats approximately 100 people. The fishing riffle can be found in the Raccoon River in Lower Hagge, creating challenging and exciting fishing opportunities. The river is home to many species of game fish including walleye, channel and flathead catfish, and smallmouth bass. Bowhunting is also allowed within Hagge Park during the appropriate seasons, but firearms are not allowed in the park. |
Grant Park
This beautiful wooded 98 acre park is located 1 1/2 miles north of Auburn along the North Raccoon River. Camping, picnicking, fishing, hiking, canoeing, snowmobiling, and cross-country skiing are all popular activities.Grant Park has three separate camping areas. Area 1 has 25 camping sites with full hookup– sewer, water and electric (30 and 50 amp). Areas 2 and 3 are available for primitive camping. A restroom/shower is located in Area 1 as well as a playground, horseshoe pits and picnic areas. Camping facilities are open May 1 through mid-October, weather permitting.
The North Raccoon River winds along the eastern boundary of the park and provides excellent opportunities for fishing and viewing wildlife. The fishing riffle provides chances for walleye, channel catfish and carp. Bowhunting is allowed in Grant Park during the appropriate seasons and hunting with a firearm is only allowed after the camping area has been closed for the season (mid-October to May 1). Please check with the SCCB for exact dates.

This 120 acre park is located 1 1/2 miles south of Early on Hwy. 71. The park is split by the Boyer River with the west 2/3 of the park remaining undeveloped. The park has a large evergreen plantation west of the river as well as several hardwood plantings and native grass plots.Reiff Park has 7 shaded campsites with water and electric (30 amp) hookups. Restrooms and a dump station are located near the campground. Primitive or tent camping is also allowed. The campground is open from May 1 through mid-October, weather permitting.
