The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Ranell Drake, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved with an additional comment regarding the absence of the proper moving permits required by the companies moving equipment and materials for the wind turbine project into Sac County. It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Wilhelm to include the additional language and approve the minutes. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to approve the agenda as posted. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Wilhelm to change the date of the public hearing to consider an amendment to the current county budget to Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at 10:30 AM. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to call for a public hearing on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at 10:30 AM to consider an ordinance authorizing Sac County and the cities of Sac County to bid on and purchase delinquent property taxes. Ayes all, motion carried.
Sherrie Wilson, Sac County Planning and Zoning Officer presented some changes to the wind turbine ordinance as adopted and proposed by the Sac County Zoning Board at their Public Hearing.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Wilhelm to adopt the proposed changes to the wind turbine ordinance as submitted. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to approve a rural commercial tax abatement schedule as proposed by Brandy Ripley, Sac County SETD Director. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to approve an industrial tax abatement on Phase II of the Remington Seed Company north of Schaller. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to increase the hours of Jim Bullock, Sac County EMA Director, from 25 to 30 hours. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to approve a proposed tile repair in Jt DD 19 & 26, Main Tile, located in Section 5, Douglas Township in the amount of $32,000.00. Ayes all, motion carried.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
