Full-Time Sac County 911 Center - dispatcher
This position offers a competitive hourly pay rate, that includes paid overtime, paid holidays, partially paid employee health insurance with family insurance available, paid vacation, and sick time benefits—5-personal days off after 90 days of employment.
Duties include answering emergency and non-emergency calls, paging fire and ambulance personnel, and taking calls for law enforcement. The ideal candidate will be able to work under stressful circumstances and must be able to prioritize and maintain a calm demeanor. This position will require you to work at least every other weekend. Dispatchers work 12-hour shifts. In one week, you work 5 total days, and in the following week, you work only two days. You will be required to fill in occasionally on other shifts. Knowledge of window-based programs is helpful.
Applicant must pass a background check and be of good moral character. The starting hourly rate is $21.00, with an increase after probation and certification. Applicants with experience will receive a higher starting rate depending on years of experience.
