NATURALIST
Sac County Conservation Board
Description: Permanent, full-time position under the general supervision of the Conservation Director that plans, develops, coordinates, and presents environmental education programs for schools, youth and adult groups and the general public. Develops written, audiovisual and display materials and performs related work as required. Position will be based at the Sac County Conservation Center at Hagge Park.
Education, Experience and Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university with major coursework in environmental education, natural resources, biology or a related conservation program curriculum; or graduation from an accredited two (2) year college with a major in a natural resources field and a minimum of one (1) year of work experience in environmental education; ability to express oneself clearly and persuasively, both orally and in writing; ability to proficiently operate computer. Licensed teaching experience may be considered in place of other work experience. Non-standard work week. Must be able to work flexible hours and days, including occasional weekends and evening hours.
Salary and Benefits: $47,000-$51,000 starting annual salary depending on education, experience and qualifications. 40 hours per week. Standard Sac County benefits including health insurance, IPERS, uniform allowance and vehicle provided on the job.
