The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Ranell Drake, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to approve the agenda as posted. Ayes all, motion carried.
Steve Dahm was present during citizen input to ask questions about the lighting on the wind towers. No action was taken.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Wilhelm to approve application for renewal of liquor license submitted by The Trailside Inn in Carnarvon. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to approve application for renewal of liquor license submitted by Rustic River Winery. Ayes all, motion carried.
Tom Scheutz with the Alera Group met with the Board via telephone call to review the agenda for tomorrow’s employee meetings on the group’s health care coverage renewal for FY22/23.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Wilhelm to approve the claims as listed on the Claims register in the Auditor’s office. Ayes all, motion carried.
The County American Rescue Plan committee presented funding recommendations to the Board as follows: Auditor’s office - $65,630 to digitize real estate records; Sheriff’s office - $90,000 to establish an alternate communications center; Public Health - $120,000 to remodel the PHN clinic space and County Conservation - $248,250 for a new shelter house at Reiff Park. The Committee informed the Board that they were not recommending approval of a request submitted by the City of Lake View for $200,000 for a housing incentive. There was some lengthy discussion on the recommendations as well as input from the cities of Lake View, Wall Lake, Sac City and Odebolt.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Wilhelm to approve the request submitted by the Auditor’s office to digitize the real estate books and to table the other requests. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Wilhelm to approve a building permit application submitted by Donald and Lora Munger for construction at 1919 Needham Avenue. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to accept the changes submitted by planning and Zoning and further discuss at the meeting on April 26, 2022. Ayes all, motion carried.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Wilhelm to accept the low bid of $51,658.81 submitted by Kam Line Highway Markings for 2022 County pavement markings. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to authorize the Chairman to sign approval for the Sac County Secondary Road’s D.O.T. budget and five year construction plan. Ayes all, motion carried.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
