The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Brent Wilhelm, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Drake to amend the agenda to consider a date for a budget amendment hearing, authorization for Treasurer’s staff to access bank accounts and an appointment to the Region XII housing Authority Board. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wissler to approve the agenda as amended. Ayes all, motion carried.
There was no citizen input.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Drake to appoint Brenda Schoneboom to the Region XII Regional Housing Authority Board of Directors for a term beginning October 1, 2021 through October 30, 2022. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wissler to call for a public hearing on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at 10:30 am to consider an amendment to the current County budget. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Drake to grant authority to Amanda Drost and Megan Crabb to access the County’s bank accounts to conduct county business through the Treasurer’s office. Ayes all, motion carried.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Drake to accept the low bid of $229,868.30 submitted by Cedar Falls Construction Company for Project L-PCCP 22—73-81, concrete patching for 2021. Ayes all, motion carried.
The Engineer gave a brief update on the Richland wind turbine project.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wissler to approve the following drainage assessments: DD 33 Branch A; 170% assessment to provide $320.42; DD 33 Branch B – 355% assessment to provide $324.33; DD 33 Branch D – 650% assessment to provide $314.73; DD 33 Branch F – 280% assessment to provide $346.28; DD 33 Consent Branch 2 – 105% assessment to provide $315.00; Joint DD 41 – 43 – 27% assessment to provide $865.53 and Joint DD 274 – 9% assessment to provide $3,502.34. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved b y Drake and seconded by Wissler to approve the claims as listed on the claims register in the Auditor’s office. Ayes all, motion carried.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
