The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Ranell Drake, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to amend the agenda to consider adding a deputy to the Sac County Sheriff’s office. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Wilhelm to approve the agenda as amended. Ayes all, motion carried.
Dawn Mentzer, executive Director of Rolling Hills Mental Health Region presented the funding request for Sac County’s share of that agency’s 2019/20 budget in the amount of $180,984.00 and suggested that the Board decide on what kind of a local fund balance they would maintain.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to approve several changes in the Rolling Hills Agency’s 28E agreement. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to approve the Rolling Hills Agency’s 28E agreement as amended and the Memorandum of Understanding regarding the addition of Woodbury County to the Rolling Hills group. Ayes all, motion carried.
Sheriff Ken McClure discussed a proposal to add an additional deputy to his office. no action was taken until the Board could review the proposed budget for 2019/20.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Wilhelm to approve a proposed tile investigation in Joint DD 88 & 280 located in Section 24, Sac Township, Sac County in the amount of $1500.00. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to approve the claims as listed on the claims register in the Auditor’s office. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to approve Resolution 19-0205 supporting the Iowa Prison Industries/Iowa Association of Councils of Governments Prisoner-Built Housing Program and state funding necessary to implement the program. Ayes Drake, Wilhelm, Wissler; nays none, motion carried.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
