The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Jim Wissler, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to amend the agenda to consider a wage proposal from the Sac County Paramedic association. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to approve the agenda as amended. Ayes all, motion carried.
Ben Ringgenberg and Bob Murley, Sac County Paramedics, presented an initial bargaining agreement to the Board for Sac County Paramedics Association. The Board acknowledged receipt of the proposal and will submit it to the County Attorney for review.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews ant the status of current maintenance and maintenance projects.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to approve the final payment to PCI, Inc. for retainage on Project BRS SWAP CO81(81)- - FF – 81 in the amount of $14,626.46. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to adopt a Resolution to withdraw from the articles of agreement which formed the Workforce Development Chief Elected Official Consortium for the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014. Ayes Drake, Fischer and Wissler; nays none, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to approve four applications for American Rescue Plan funding totaling $107,565.00: including replacement of overhead door for the Lake View Ambulance - $4,600.00, purchase of a generator for the Lake View Ambulance - $9,448.00, upgrade of election equipment - $9,524.20 for election laptops and $75,992.00 for election hardware, and purchase of a trailer for election use - $8,000.00. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to approve the bond coverage for Sac County elected officials for 2023. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to call for a public hearing on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at 10:30 am to consider the disposition of approximately 1.56 acres in the SW¼ SW¼ of Section 16, Cedar Township. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to approve the claims as listed in the claims register in the Auditor’s office. Ayes all, motion carried.
At 10:50 AM, the Boards of Supervisors from Sac and Calhoun Counties met as trustee of Joint Drainage 20 & 119. It was moved by Drake and seconded by Jacobs that Jim Wissler serve as chairman and Renee Roland serve as secretary. Ayes all, motion carried.
Brian Blomme, Drainage Engineer, presented project work summary for cleanout and bidding information for the project.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Becker to approve the specifications for the project and call for a public hearing on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at 11:00 AM in the Sac County Courthouse. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by LeGore and seconded by Fischer to cause publication of the notice to bidders in all official newspapers in both counties. Ayes all, motion carried.
The joint meeting was adjourned on motion.
