The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Brent Wilhelm, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Drake to amend the agenda to include a phone conversation with representatives from Group Services regarding the County’s group health insurance for 2021/22. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wissler to approve the agenda as amended. Ayes all, motion carried.
Steve Dahm spoke during the citizen input portion of the meeting regarding the aviation lights on the wind turbines in Sac County and a letter that he had requested be sent to Aliant Energy from the County Attorney’s office.
Linda Godberson and Vicki Boeckman, representing the Odebolt Betterment Committee, submitted a request for funding assistance to repair the monument circle at the north end of Main Street in Odebolt. It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wissler to appropriate $3500 from the Special Projects fund to the monument project. Ayes all, motion carried.
The Board met with the Supervisors from Buena Vista and Calhoun Counties to consider a resolution establishing a position for an assistant to the Drainage Engineer. Sac County approved the motion by Drake and seconded by Wissler and the other two counties approved it as well.
It was moved by Ringgenberg from Buena Vista County and Drake from Sac County to establish a fee of $100 per hour for engineer service and $100 per hour for assistant engineer service. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler from Sac County and LeGore from Calhoun County to establish a fee of $120 per hour to process utility construction agreements. Ayes all, motion carried.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wissler to approve the final pay voucher for the County Road M54 asphalt overlay. Ayes all, motion carried.
The Board met with Tom Scheutz with Group Services to discuss the County’s group health insurance rates for the upcoming year. The Board was informed that the rates would be .33% less than the rates for the current year.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Drake to approve the completed FY 2020 cost allocation plan as prepared by Cost Advisory Services, Inc. Ayes all, motion carried.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
