The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Jim Wissler, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wilhelm to amend the agenda to consider funding requests from the Libraries and the Fair board as well as discussion on Joint DD 181. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Drake to approve the agenda as amended. Ayes all, motion carried.
Erin McCullough, Sac County Compensation Board Chairperson addressed the Board to inform them of the compensation board’s recommendation of a 3.5% increase for the Auditor, Attorney, Sheriff and Supervisors and a 12.1% increase for the Recorder and the Treasurer on January 6, 2020 and urged the Supervisors to accept the recommendation. No action was taken.
Representatives from the county libraries presented a funding request of $134,607 for fiscal year 20/21 which includes a 4% increase over the last year’s request. No action was taken.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wilhelm to re-appoint Andy Meredith to the County Conservation Board for a five year term. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Drake to approve the Sheriff’s quarterly report for the quarter ending December 31, 2019. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wilhelm to approve the Recorder’s quarterly report for the quarter ending December 31, 2019. Ayes all, motion carried.
Members of the Sac County Fair Association presented their annual report of the Sac County Fair and tentative plans for the upcoming year. Their funding request was the same as last year at $37,500 and asked for consideration for help on a drainage tile which they plan to install soon. No action was taken.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Drake to call for a public hearing on a proposed budget amendment for the current budget for Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at 10:30 am. Ayes all, motion carried.
There was a brief discussion on repairs and policy regarding Joint Drainage District 181. No action was taken.
There was no engineer’s report
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
