The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Rick Hecht, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Stock and seconded by Drake to approve the agenda as posted. Ayes all, motion carried.
The Hometown Pride annual report will be rescheduled for August 14th due to a change in scheduling.
There was no citizen input for this meeting.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Stock to approve the transfer of $26,592.33 in earned interest from General Basic Fund to Secondary Road Fund for the fiscal year 2017/18. Ayes all, motion carried.
The Board of Supervisors and the Sheriff continued the discussion on the status of the Sac County Jail and the agreement with Calhoun County for housing their prisoners. Several options for closing, suspending operations or maintaining status quo were offered for consideration. The Board suggested that they would like some input from the general public and tabled further discussion for two weeks.
It was moved by Stock and seconded by Drake to approve a proposed tile repair in Joint DD 20 – 119, TBR 6-OD, BR A, located in Section 33 of Williams Township, Calhoun County for an estimated cost of $1100.00. Ayes all, motion carried.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Stock to approve the plans and Notice to Bidders for the County Roads D-36 and N-28 intersection improvement project. Ayes all, motion carried.
Representatives from Invenergy and Aliant Energy met with the Board of Supervisors, County Attorney, County Engineer and the Planning and Zoning Officer to discuss the development of the proposed new wind farm in Sac County. The group discussed the details of the building permit application process which will include a decommissioning agreement as well as a road use agreement. A projected construction start date indicated early Spring of 2019.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
