The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Brent Wilhelm, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Drake to approve the agenda as posted. Ayes all, motion carried.
Lee Ann Davis addressed the Board concerning an issue where construction vehicles and concrete trucks were driving over her property when pouring cement for the communications tower site in Lake View. The Board was unaware of the problem and concluded that it was a lack of communication between the contractor and the project supervisor.
The County Engineer updated the Board on the activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Drake adopt Resolution 21-1123 authorizing the County Engineer to sign via DOC Express on behalf of Sac County approving project BROS-SWAP CO81 (79)—SE – 81. Ayes; Drake, Wissler and Wilhelm, nays none, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wissler to approve a tile crossing between Sections 1 & 2, Cook Township. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Drake to accept the low bid of $372,376.20 submitted by Peterson Contractors, Inc for Project 301—81-CO81-080. Ayes all, motion carried.
The American Rescue Plan committee presented the following nine applications for funding with recommendations for approval: I T Department - $14,738.77 to re-wire the courthouse to provide better connectivity and internet speeds; I T Department - $8,164.00 to replace network switches and access points for better wireless access; I T Department - $$4,602.00 to install fire walls for Public Health and Ambulance computers; I T Department - $4,794.00 to purchase Microsoft Surfaces for Supervisors; Sac County Ambulance - $14,926.30 to purchase a Lucas device to do chest compressions when patient is in cardiac arrest; Sac County Ambulance - $93,989.94 to purchase two monitors with 12 lead capabilities for the Schaller and Odebolt Ambulances; Sac County Conservation - $355,000.00 for a new restroom, shower house and storm shelter at Grant Park; Emergency Management - $94,000.00 for the purchase of a mobile command center; Emergency Management - $430.00 for the purchase of a Fujitsu scanner. The total dollar amount submitted is $586,247.00. Sac County currently has $944,000 in the ARP fund. The Board of Supervisors approved the applications submitted.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
