The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Jim Wissler, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to approve the agenda as presented. Ayes all, motion carried.
Sac County Treasurer, Tina Roth, and Lake View City Clerk, Theresa Pudenz, were present to discuss abatement of property taxes on Parcel #811032115007, located at 203 Broughton Blvd, Lake View. It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to abate the taxes on said parcel in the amount of $405.00. Ayes all, motion carried.
The County Engineer submitted a written update on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to accept plans for Project No. FM-CO81(89) - - 55-81, resurfacing of M50 from D36 to Highway 20. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to approve Resolution #23-1017, which lays out changes to the 2024 County Five Year Program for Sac County Secondary Roads. Roll call vote: Drake – Aye, Fischer – Aye, Wissler – Aye. Ayes all, motion carried.
Sheriff Ken McClure presented an offer from the City of Lake View to purchase a 2020 Tahoe that was taken out of service in the amount of $20,500.00. No action was taken.
Sheriff Ken McClure also discussed an issue with jail staffing. It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to authorize the Sheriff to enter into an agreement to house female inmates in other counties as needed. Ayes all, motion carried.
Michelle Carlson with Family Crisis Center gave an update on services provided over the last year and made a request of funding in the amount of $5,000.00 for FY25. No action was taken.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to approve a construction application for Kennedy and Dan Drey at 2196 Hope Avenue in Section 34, Eden Township. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Fischer and seconded by Drake to approve county claims as presented in the amount of $764,545.81. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Fischer to approve the drainage claims as presented in the amount of $19,802.24. Ayes all, motion carried.
