- Appointment to Fill Vacancy in the Office of Sac County Auditor: Pursuant to Iowa Code §69.8(3) and 69.17(2)(a), and consistent with the Notice of Intent to Appoint to Fill the Vacancy in the Office of Sac County Auditor published in the official Sac County newspaper on May 5, 2026, the Sac County Board of Supervisors will discuss and vote to appoint a person to fill the vacancy in the elected office of Sac County Auditor. The person appointed will serve until a successor is elected at the November 3, 2026, General Election and qualifies, at which time the person elected will serve the balance of the unexpired term. The BOS, upon appointment, will execute a formal resolution memorializing this appointment. - Ben Smith
