Closed session pursuant to Iowa Code § 21.5(1)(j) to discuss the purchase of particular real estate, where premature disclosure could be reasonably expected to increase the price the County would have to pay for that property, and pursuant to Iowa Code § 21.5(1)(c) to discuss strategy with counsel in a matter where litigation is imminent and where disclosure would be likely to prejudice or disadvantage the position of the County in that litigation. Roll call vote required; closed session may be held only upon the affirmative public vote of two-thirds of the members of the Board or all members present. Following the closed session, the Board will reconvene in open session and may take final action on a motion authorizing an offer to purchase the subject real estate and/or to authorize the county attorney to initiate litigation. |
