Minutes for July 9, 2019
The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Ranell Drake, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to approve the agenda as posted. Ayes all, motion carried.
Chairman Drake administered the Oath of Office to Zach Mixer who was hired as a deputy in the Sac County Sheriff’s office.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Wilhelm to approve a proof for an official seal for the Commissioner of Election’s ballots pursuant to Iowa Code. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Wilhelm to place an ad in local papers to solicit bids for mowing and maintaining the pioneer cemetery located in Section 21 of Levey Township. Ayes all, motion carried. All bids will be considered on Tuesday, July 30, 2019.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to approve the quarterly report of the County Recorder for the quarter ending June 30, 2019. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to re-appoint Frank Strain of Sac City to the Region XII Regional Housing Authority Board of Directors for a term beginning October 1, 2019 and ending September 30, 2020. Ayes all, motion carried.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.
The Board, Engineer, Auditor and the drainage deputy discussed issues concerning the drainage watchman duties and the possibility of adding that position to the county staff. No action was taken.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
