Minutes for April 14, 2020
The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Jim Wissler, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Drake to amend the agenda to include an update to the current COVID-19 closures. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wilhelm to approve the agenda as amended. Ayes all, motion carried.
There was conference call with Buena Vista and Calhoun County Board of Supervisors in regard to a possible shared Drainage Engineer position. There was no action taken at this time.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Drake to approve a box culvert replacement project, BROS-SWAP-CO81(74)-SE-81, on Gard Avenue. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wilhelm to approve the Secondary Roads Budget and 5-Year Construction Project Plan. Ayes all, motion carried.
The Board discussed the COVID-19 pandemic situation and decided to continue to close the courthouse and annex to the public through Tuesday, April 21, 2020, and re-evaluate the situation at that time. The Board will continue to meet in the Chamber Main Street office and use ZOOM to open the meeting to the public.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Drake to approve a proposed open ditch repair (S2020-01) in DD 62, located in Sec 20, Delaware Township in the amount of $1,750. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wilhelm to approve an addendum to a previously approved tile repair (S2019-09B) in Jt DD 19-26, located in Section 5, Douglas Township, amending the total cost to $42,500 and allowing for additional cost for materials. Ayes all, motion carried.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
