Minutes for July 27, 2021
The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Brent Wilhelm, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Drake to approve the agenda as posted. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Drake and seconded by Wissler to approve the Substance Abuse Prevention Year End Report with New Opportunities. Ayes all, motion carried.
There was a review of the American Rescue Plan Act funds that will be received by Sac County, together with a brief overview of allowable expenses for these funds. The Supervisors requested that a Department Head meeting be set to begin this process.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects, including an update on the wind project with Next Era Energy.
Bailey Lounsbury introduced herself to the Board as the new Administrator for Sac County Public Health and gave a brief update on programs in their office.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Drake to authorize the Chairman to sign a letter of support for a state grant being pursued by Western Iowa Networks for a broadband installation project to certain rural areas of Sac County. Ayes all, motion carried.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
